Production Services FAQs

What does TPC's Production Services team do?

That’s easy. We make videos. We can make promotional videos, fundraising videos, and educational videos for your organization, school, or company. We can also record your lecture, your dance performance, your avant-garde puppet show, etc.

We’re a one-stop shop. We can create the concept, shoot and edit the video, add titles and motion graphics, and deliver the final project according to your needs.

What are your prices like?

Every video project has its own unique set of variables, of course, but we can confidently say that our quality-to-cost ratio is sky-high. Also, we’re a nonprofit organization! Every penny we earn from making your video directly supports our mission of furthering First Amendment rights and improving the quality of locally-produced media for the community at large. We can provide you a valuable service and support our mission at the same time without having to stretch for ridiculous profit margins.

What's the process going to be like?

Give us a call at 919-960-0088 and our executive director, Carson Riedel, will be happy to talk with you about your project and how we can see it through. After that initial conversation, she’ll email you a written proposal, along with a detailed price estimate. From there, she’ll work with you to schedule your production date(s) and sort out the logistics of securing equipment, crew, and location.

On that production day, our crew will arrive on time and ensure that everything stays on schedule. We strive to deliver a first edit within two weeks. After hearing your comments, the final edit will come your way via Vimeo, Dropbox, DVD, hard drive, or any other medium that works for you.

We pride ourselves on efficient editing. To quote an email from one of clients: “Wow thanks! That was super speedy!” Or another client: “Thanks for the quick turn-around. It’s awesome!”

What kind of gear do you use?

Our production services equipment closet consists of a Canon C100 Mark II, Panasonic 4K/HD camcorders, a Canon 80D DSLR, as well as a drone. We edit using a combination of Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe After Effects.
