Becoming a member of The People’s Channel is easy. We’re a small organization, so we encourage face-to-face introductions to make sure you have a chance to get all your questions answered and to make sure we have a chance to show you everything TPC has to offer.
How to become a member
Step 1: Orientation
The first step to becoming a member is to schedule an informal 30-minute orientation with one of our staff members. You’ll be able to meet everyone in the office, see the facilities, and get all your questions answered. Orientations are scheduled on an on-demand basis, so just give us a call at 919.960.0088 to let us know when you’d like to come by.
Step 2: Choose your membership level
The People’s Channel offers four membership levels:
- An Individual Membership costs $75/year and grants one person all the privileges of membership, including your own time slot on public access television and access to our classes, computers, and studio.
- An Organizational Membership costs $175/year and grants up to six people from your organization all the privileges of membership. This membership level is perfect for your church or any non-profit organization with which you’re involved. If you’re making a short film and have a multi-person crew, this membership level might be perfect for you as well.
- An Educational Membership costs $375/year and grants up to 15 people from your school all the privileges of membership.
Step 3: Start creating!
It’s just that simple! From the moment you become a member, you can start submitting content to air on the TV stations, you can start using everything from Final Cut Pro to Adobe After Effects on our computers, and you can sign up for any or all of our classes.
