Courses
The Peoples Channel offers a variety of courses and certification. All courses have a one time fee in order to cover the cost of the instructor's time. If you cannot pay for a course, TPC offers a variety of options. We will not turn anyone away due to economic reasons.
To ensure participation, all courses require a $20 deposit or two volunteer hours to register.
*If an individual wishes to take a course outside of the times listed, or wants personal instruction, the fee for that course will rise in order to pay for the instructors' time. Pleas ask a staff member if you are interested in taking an individual course.
Sweat Equity :
The Peoples Channel will never turn away anyone based on economic factors. If you cannot pay for a course or fee, TPC offers a Sweat Equity program equated to $10 an hour. The Sweat Equity program allows members to volunteer their time for TPC instead of paying for a course or fee. Members must contribute at least two hours of time in order to reserve a seat in a course, and must work off their hours in order to check-out equipment for personal use. Any of our staff will be happy to answer any questions you have about this program.
